Ministry Bulletin Highlights for Sunday

Need an announcement mentioned in the Ministry Bulletin? Maybe an upcoming event, an educational opportunity, celebration of a birthday or anniversary? Service Schedule

Weekday services are as follows: Tuesdays at 8:00 am (Celebrant the Rev. Canon Winnie Bolle), Wednesdays at 12:10 pm (Celebrant the Rev. Mary Ellen Cassini), and Thursdays at 7:15 am (Celebrant the Rev. Mary Ellen Cassini), 9:00 am Morning Prayer and 10:00 am Lectionary Bible study with the Rev. Debbie Self.  

 

This week's Wednesday Holy Eucharist and Healing is cancelled. We will be having a prayer service for Haiti at 2:30 pm in the Chapel. All are welcome to come and pray for those who have experienced such a terrible tradgedy.

 

Happy Birthday

We wish a Happy Birthday to those celebrating birthdays this week: Martha Cochran and Stephanie Lyew.

 

 Stewardship

Pledge cards for 2010 are available the office or on the deck after services. Please prayerfully consider your giving for this new year. We give thanks for all God provides us and return a holy offering as thanksgiving.

 

Vestry Nominations

It is time to submit Vestry nominations for the election at our Annual Meeting on January 24, 2010. Please submit names to the Chapel office or via email to Barbara. An information session will be scheduled in the near future. Prayerfully consider you role in the Vestry process. Are you called to be a leader in your parish?

 

Sunday School

Sunday School for our children meets during the 10:30 service in the Brock building. Tracy Dickey is the teacher and she is looking forward to meeting you and your children. Come on over for a great time!

 

Music Ministry

The Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday nights at 8:00 pm in the Parish Hall choir room.  We have plenty of room for new members! Choir is a great way to offer your talents, help your church and have fun also. If you would like to join please contact Jan Daniels, the director.

 

Calling those who wish to serve

If you are interested in serving on the altar as a chalice bearer, lector, reader, or acolyte please contact Faye Somers or Barbara in the office. This is a very rewarding ministry.

 

Chili Cookoff

Join in the competition or plan to have dinner at the Doug Drouin Second Annual Memorial Benefit for I Want to Learn English- a social action non- profit organization that Doug founded with the vision that the dream of learning English can come true for anyone, anywhere. The event will be held on Saturday, February 6 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

 

ECW Sunday

This year's ECW Sunday celebration will be held on February 7 at 4:00 pm at the Duncan Center. All are encouraged to wear the color red. Car pooling will be on an informal basis.

 

Flowers

If you would like to give flowers to the glory of God as a memorial or general thanksgiving, you may pick up a special Flower Offering envelope on the table outside the Chapel after the service. Your support helps us to glorify God in our worship on Sunday morning. 

 

A Thousand Welcomes to Mardis Gras

The Mardis Gras auction date is February 12, 2010. All are needed to help make our silent auction a stupendous success. Please stop by the table on the deck to pick up some forms to take to your favorite retailers, hair dressers, manicurists, cleaners, etc. and request their donations of time ant talent for our silent auction. Forms can be returned to the office to the attention of the Auction Committee. Thanks!

 

Order of St. Luke

The Order of St. Luke will meet on Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 - 11;00 am in the Youth Building. If you are interested in participating in this healing ministry contact Emily Nell Lagerquist.

 

Family Promise

Family Promise is an organization in our community that the Chapel participates in. Our team needs you to volunteer 

 

 Prayer Requests

To add a name to the Chapel's prayer list, please contact Barbara in the Chapel office.  We will share the prayer list via email and start to share it next week in the Sunday Ministries Bulletin to ensure our community is supporting those asking for our prayers.

Yoga

A new yoga class has begun on campus. The class lasts one hour on Mondays and Fridays, costs $10, and meets in the Chapel Annex (where the choir sits). Wear comfortable clothes, bring a yoga mat, water, towel and something to grab your feet like a man's tie or yoga belt. The class is taught by Christel Callahan a certified Yoga instructor. Invite your friends and have a great time!

 

Electronic Offering

The Chapel is now offering an Electronic Offering Program. This is an easy and convenient way you to make your offering to the church. Please consider enrolling by accessing the heart shaped Donate button on our website under contacts.
