Music Music and the arts play a large role in the life of The Chapel of Saint Andrew. Our adult choir leads the parish in singing traditional hymns, contemporary songs, psalms, and responses at the Sunday 10:30 AM service. Periodically, we also enjoy dramatic scripture readings and sketches and other instrumental presentations which enhance our worship. We delight in lifting our voices to the Lord. Contact Janet Daniels, director of Liturgical Arts at the Chapel, for more information about these ministries (561-483-8044). Adult Chapel Choir: The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM and sings each week at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. service and on special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Adult Chapel Ringers: Complex arrangements and delightful melodies make up the repertoire of the adult handbell choir, which typically performs with the regular choir or by itself. They rehearse Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the music room. Check with the director for the rehearsal schedule. Healing Ministry at the Chapel Parishioners at the The Chapel of Saint Andrew believe strongly in the healing power of the Holy Spirit - both for the healing of mind, spirit and body. Examples abound among the congregation of those who have overcome illness, discomfort, depression and troubled times - and attribute that recovery in large measure because of the prayers they received from friends in faith. Some of those ministries include: The Sacrament of Holy Unction: Congregants are offered the sacrament of the laying on of hands on the first Sunday of each month during the 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. services and every Wednesday at the 11:00 a.m. service. Contact the Chapel office at 561-483-8044. The Order of St. Luke the Physician: Jesus commissioned his followers to "Go into all the world and preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God, and heal the sick." The Order of St. Luke is a Christian healing ministry and fellowship of 1) professional people in all phases of medical work, 2) clergy in the ministry of the Roman, Orthodox, Anglican, and Protestant Churches, and 3) lay people from all walks of life who believe that the healing ministry of Jesus Christ belongs in the church today. If you'd like to get involved in this ministry, please contact the Chapel at 561-483-8044. The Youth Ministries at The Chapel The Chapel knows that its life is its youth and has worked to design programs for children and for the parents of those children. Sunday School classes are available. Contact Barbara at the Chapel Office 561- 483-8044 for more information. | The Faith Seeking Ministry Faith Seeking Journey is a way our parish gives newcomers and existing members tools for the journey to new life in Christ - to baptism, confirmation, reaffirmation, reception from another communion, sponsoring a child for baptism, marriage. The Faith Seeking Journey begins by giving participants a chance to ask questions and learn the story of the people of God in the Episcopal Church, in your church. The participants model spiritual formation through bible study and small groups. They are guided in prayer through Lent and discernment through Pentecost. A cross, the Creeds, The Lord’s Prayer, a Bible and a Book of Common Prayer are gifts to the participants and tools that will help them on their journey. Manuals are available for the team and for participants. Contact the Chapel office at 561-483-8044 for more information about getting involved. Cursillo is a weekend retreat, a "short course" in Christianity, offered by and for leaders in the church to renew and deepen their commitment to Christ. Cursillo is a movement of the Episcopal Church and our Diocese fully supported by our bishops. There are approximately 40 people in our parish who have attended a Cursillo and were strengthened for their leadership roles in the church and in the community. Those who have attended, including many from our parish, may serve on the team for a Cursillo, sharing their witness to Christ. Contact Faye Somers for more information about this ministry at 561-483-8044.
